yes, this lens is for beginners and who just like to do street photography, but are not fully dependent on street photography.

in short, this lens is for those, who’re experienced photographers.

you can buy this lens from amazon around 1400 to 1500$, which is a very big amount right !!

but what is the main difference between this first prime lens and this one?

so if you’re asking me then my first and very common answer is quality.

as I mentioned earlier, zoom lenses are best to cover a long distance, but that’s not the case every time.

Canon owns so many different kinds of zoom lenses, but I choose only this one.

because this canon zoom lens is just perfect for street photography.

basically, zoom lens contains longer focal length, so they can easily cover long distances then prime lens.

so you don’t need to change your place, or even move forward to your object if you want that bokeh kind of effect.

also, you can use this lens to capture some good nature photography, sports photography, or even some good landscapes, so you’re not buying one lens just for street photography remember.

but there is one problem, zoom lenses do not help you to capture images in low light like you capture low light images with your prime lens.

and obviously, from its size, you can imagine this lens is heavier than the prime lens and not easy to manage.

apart from this, you’re good to go…
