Most of the vloggers prefer YouTube for their first vlogs so, throughout this article, our main target will be YouTube.

But you can use the same tips to make videos for other platforms like Facebook, Instagram, etc.

so here are the most needed vlogging tips that you need to know to vlog like a PRO.

1. Follow Your Passion

The key to success in the field of vlogging is to “Follow Your Passion.” Be expressive, do whatever you love, and let the world know about it.

9 Vlogging Tips

While making a vlog, you share something that engages an audience of similar passion and taste.

And to involve the audience for a long period, it is necessary to create videos only about the things you love.

If you are making videos just for your audience and not personally interested in that field, you are going in the wrong way.

You can’t accomplish much if you do not enjoy making vlogs. The thirst to explore your favorite niche urges you as a vlogger to go more creative.

If you love traveling you can make videos while traveling to your favorite destinations.

If you are a football player you can make videos while playing football, It can be anything like eating food, going on a walk, decorating your home, and attending an event, etc.

So, the 1st and foremost thing is to follow your passion.

2.The art of Video Editing

There are 23 million+ YouTube channels as of 2018 (it’s 2022 now). As a new blogger, starting a Youtube channel from scratch means you have to compete with 23 million other channels.

That’s where you need some pro tips to make your channel unique.

One of the key factors that can make you stand out from the crowd is the art of video editing.

I recommend you to learn video editing before starting a vlog.

Take some paid courses online or watch free videos on Youtube. If you have a passion to learn, you can start editing videos within a week.

Furthermore, follow the famous vlogger and watch out for their videos.

Watch how they are shooting videos and using camera angles. Learn how they are changing the sound effects according to the actions in the video.

3. Select a Topic

YouTube is a huge platform and every day millions of videos are uploaded. To start a vlog, you need to choose a specific topic.

Not only you have to be clear on the topic you are selecting but also you must have basic knowledge about it.

For example, if you are going to start a channel on Football, you must know the rules of the game.

You should have info about major players, leagues, and the basic techniques of Football, The biggest mistake that I make in my early days was ‘not choosing a specific niche.’

Having a specific niche means that you have a targeted audience.

You can also utilize your audience to earn some extra bucks through different methods like Affiliate marketing and personal branding etc.

However, if you pick a common topic like infotainment or gossips, chances are that you may not get a thrilling response.

It’ll be hard for you to get early recognition as there are millions of YouTubers already making videos on such topics.

4. Consistency

If you ask me the only thing to create a successful vlog, my answer will be ‘consistency.’

After selecting a topic, you need to start making videos and upload them consistently. Particularly, you must have to be consistent during the first 3 months after starting a vlog.

If you’re looking for a quick result after upload a single video, I’m sorry, you are not going to be a successful vlogger unless you are a celebrity.

Even Casey Neistat is still consistently uploading the videos to keep his audience engaged. So, the 3rd and major vlogging tip is to be consistent on YouTube.

5. Follow Trends

Keep yourself aware of the latest trend in your niche is the most important thing in vlogging.

Always be ready to make a video as soon as you get your hands on something new and interesting.

For example, if you are making a vlog related to Football, you can discuss the UEFA champions league matches. It will help you in getting popularity in a short period.

6. Focus on Story Telling

Storytelling is an art and there are a few people who have command of this art.

You need the practice to master this art and it may take months or a year. Nevertheless, the easiest way to learn this skill is by watching the famous vloggers on YouTube.

Get some ideas on how to cover a story to keep the audience engaged.

Storytelling techniques can take your vlog to the next level.

Vlogging is all about user engagement through content. Success is not far away from you if you know how to attract the audience to keep them involved.

7. Focus on Quality Instead of Quantity

I know many YouTubers who have been working for years but haven’t got more than a few hundred subscribers.

At the same time, some have tasted popularity in a very short period. This is not a surprising thing for me. If you are making quality videos, you can get success overnight.

That’s why I suggest learning the art of storytelling and video editing before starting a vlog.

Uploading videos without focusing on quality is a waste of time. And I’ll never recommend you to waste your time so buckle up and follow the pro tips.

for better video quality, you also need some important shooting gears, remember that.

if you own a Canon camera then here is the list of best canon lens for vlogging.

8. Be Natural

While making a vlog, you need to be natural. Vlogging is all about sharing your daily routine and activities that you love to do.

And for that, you don’t need to write a long script as filmmakers do. Be cool and act natural because people will judge you if you try to fool them.

If you feel it’s time for an interesting video, take your mobile and start making vlogs.

However, it’s ok to rehearse and practice if you are going to discuss something. The long pauses like umm, ok, all right, wait a minute, etc. can make your vlog boring.

That’s why I advise you to always practice yourself before turning your camera on.

9. Always End Your Vlog in a Unique Way

As I have mentioned above, user engagement helps in ranking your video on the top. Your ending must be unique just like the start. Also, try to change your location in a video from time to time.

You can add some blooper at the end of the video. Also, you can add something odd happening to you while making the vlog.

It will bound your audience until the very end. Moreover, at the start, you can tell your viewers to watch the complete video to enjoy that bonus part at the end.

Final Words

I hope these vlogging tips will help you out in making your vlogs more unique and engaging.

Always keep in mind that you can start making vlogs on any platform but never compromise of quality. Try to be consistent and you will start getting results within months.

Furthermore, try to get in touch with the vlogger around you. Collaborate with other vloggers from your area or those with the same niche by arranging a meetup.

You can also manage to take an interview online, it all depends on your approach.

  2. Doesn’t it scare you how many people these days are seeking fame on the internet? Every second person on the street is a blogger! Just imagine how many bites of information will be stored globally by the end of this century.

That is not to say that vlogging is a negative trend. It is just that the amount of information we have to deal with is overwhelming. And what is the best way to separate the wheat from the chaff? My answer would be quality. Good quality videos are more pleasant to look at and easier to comprehend.

There is so much hardware available these days to make the content better and with a style. Yet, not everyone is aware of that – or, at least, it seems so.
