- Never Ever Left Your Camera Body Alone
- Lens Caps: Always On
- Take care, while changing Lenses
- The Right Camera Beg
- UV Filters Are Must

now let’s understand each point briefly…
Never Ever Left Your Camera Body Alone
This is the very first tip that you need to take care of.
When I bought a new camera at that time the salesman told me to keep my camera body attached to any one lens.
But at that time I didn’t find this thing cool or even correct, I just love to keep my camera lens and body in a separate place. but that’s a bad habit.
no matter if you’re using a prime lens or a wide one, make sure your camera body is always attached to your lens.
For your Information, at that time I only had One Lens, and It was a kit lens of 18-55mm.
But now after understanding the real reason behind this thing, I’m following this tip.
The real reason behind this is the less you leave your camera sensor exposed, the less dust or particles you will get on it.
Also if you own more than 2 lenses then this tip helps you to store more lenses in your camera begs without any problems.
No matter whether It’s a primary lens or zoom lens or even a telephoto lens, This is the very first rule which you need to follow.
Lens Caps: Always On
I found this tip on the internet, If you have lens caps then you need to use that whenever you’re not shooting.
I’m guessing that you can get a lens cap when you buy a new camera, LOL.
If somehow you lose your lens caps then you need to buy them as soon as possible for better safety.
That thing definitely helps you to take care of your camera lens with scratches and dust.
Some photographers even use both a filter and a lens cap to protect their lens and camera from scratches and dust or all other types of particles.
You are just asking for trouble without at least the lens cap. But do remember to remove it while you’re shooting 😀
Take care, while changing Lenses
These days, every single camera contains a kind of white dot that helps you or guides you to attach/remove your Lenses.
If you don’t know how to do it professionally then you need to learn it.
Do not risk your lens by just winging it to prove you know everything about lenses.
Learn How to remove/attach Camera lenses If you’re shooting outdoors, and the weather is windy then you need to find a stable/better place to change your camera lens, for a better perspective.
The Right Camera Beg
Camera bags are very important If you own more gear, and more importantly if you’re traveling with your gear.
Camera Begs really helps you to set up each and every gear in the perfect place.
These bags also provide your equipment with safety especially fragile ones like lenses. So, in the end, you’ll make your journey better without losing or breaking any one of your expensive gear.
On the other hand, if you own a very tiny bag that carries more than enough camera gear like a couple of lenses, an action camera, a tripod, etc then it is most likely that you’ll lose some of your camera gear.
So it is better to spend some more money to choose a better camera begs, instead of losing expensive gear.
So, there are some tricks or tips which you can remember and execute.
But these tips are FREE to use, and anyone can use them.
Now If you’re ready to spend some real money then here are some paid ways to Protect Cameras & Lenses.
UV Filters Are Must
First of all, UV filters are very good. you can use UV filters to protect your camera lens from scratch/dust or any other material which can hurt your camera lens.
A UV lens filter acts as a protective filter that weatherproofs camera lenses by shielding the front element of your lens from dust and other nasties.
So, if you shoot outdoors, this filter will prove invaluable.
According to Wikipedia UV filters have been used to coat glass discs fitted to camera lenses to protect hardware that is sensitive to UV light.
Right now there are so many different varieties of UV filters available online/offline.
You can buy a UV filter for 5$ to 500$, there is no limit. the better you spent the better premium quality you’ll get.
UV Filters also help you to level up your outdoor photography. UV filters can reduce the amount of light let into a camera between 0.5% to 5%.
This will inherently reduce the resolution of your image. The difference, however, is very minimal.
The reduction in quality can be almost unnoticeable or at least fixed in editing.
The main reason behind this stuff is that It helps reduce ultraviolet light for good photos.
