Complete Guide to capture professional photos with your phone

here are some easy steps which you need to remember and follow to capture some outstanding images with your smartphone.

1. Clean the Lens

The first thing you need to consider before capturing photos is to ‘clean the lens’.

It will take some seconds in cleaning the lens but you will get incredible results.

Your phone spends most of the time in your pocket or in your hand.

Sometimes, the camera lens got dirty while using the phone. A dirty lens will result in low-quality images with very little sharpness.

You can easily clean the camera lens with a microfiber cloth. If you don’t have a microfiber cloth, simply use any neat and soft cloth to clean the lens.

2. Be Steady

Shaky hands will never let you capture high-quality images. While capturing the photos, you need to keep your hands steady. A shaky hand results in blurry and low-quality photos.

One of the ways to avoid blurry photos is to capture multiple photos.

The issue of shaking arises when you press the shutter button. You can choose the volume button or the button on your headphone to avoid the handshake.

Using the best tripod for the phone is another best option to avoid shakes while capturing the image.

You can also use different camera apps like Camera+ that detect the still object and capture the image automatically.

3. Use the Rule of third

Use Rule of third while capturing photos. You need to divide the photograph into three parts both vertically and horizontally.

You can also use the built-in three by three grid available in your camera.

The aim is to cover the surroundings with respect to the object. When you cover your surroundings, it makes your photo more engaging.

4. Don’t Use the Zoom Option

Zooming on the mobile phone is not the “zoom” you are thinking about. The majority of phones available in the market don’t have an optical zoom function. They actually have the function of “digital zoom”.

This means there is no lens moving and adjusting the field of view, instead, there is the software inside the mobile that crops the image down to a smaller size.

The best way to use the zoom option is to use the software. You can edit the photos without losing resolution when you use software for zooming purposes.

5. Avoid Using Flash

Wait, Isn’t flash good for capturing quality images? Yes, it works great in low light conditions but you don’t need to use the flash all the time.

In general, flash make the photos worse than if you were to go without it. The use of flash results in unwanted artifacts while capturing the photo.

It causes glowing eyes and overly lit skin in most cases. Try to use natural light as much as possible. If you are in a room you can use the natural light coming from the window.

If you still want to use the artificial light use the third-party LED light instead of using the flash on mobile.

6. Capture Multiple Photos

Never rely on a single photo. When you visit a historical place, you want to store your memories in the shape of images. A single image can’t help you in getting the desired results.

You need to capture multiple images. I often capture 4, 5 images from the same angle. While editing the photos, I choose the best one out of the list.

When I started photography, I used to capture a single photo but It doesn’t work for me in my professional career. Now, I capture 4, 5 photos. I have the option to choose the best photo out of the list for editing.

You don’t get the chance of visiting your favorite place again and again. So, whenever you visit it, capture as many photos as you can. You will never regret capturing them unless you have enough phone storage.

7. Edit

Editing is the most crucial part of any sort of photography. You can use different editing apps on mobile to get stunning results.

You can experiment with different editing apps available on the play store and Apple store to choose the best suitable app for your work.

Editing also helps in getting rid of unnecessary shadow and noise in the image.
